Are Dental Checkups Included With Dentures?

In this video, Dr. Ruedi Tillmann explains how routine checkups are an integral part of maintaining dentures and overall oral health. Serving Kaysville and Greater Salt Lake City, UT, we invite you to arrange a free consultation to learn about our comprehensive care.

When you invest $10,000 to $15,000 in a fixed denture, you might wonder what that price includes.

Here’s the value you receive: the cost covers the prosthesis and ongoing maintenance and follow-up care. As long as you visit us for your cleanings and examinations, we guarantee your denture for 3 to 5 years, depending on your compliance with regular checkups. This ensures your prosthesis functions as it should and any necessary adjustments are made promptly.

When we first place your fixed denture, we’ll schedule three to four visits to ensure it fits comfortably and functions properly. After that, we’ll ask you to return at least every six months for routine evaluations—though we may recommend more frequent visits if needed. During these appointments, we will check the condition of your prosthesis, monitor the implants, and ensure proper healing and functionality. If any issues arise, we’ll address them promptly, and you’ll always be informed of your options.

For cases where healing progresses slowly, or additional support is required, we may place extra implants. This service and any necessary remakes or adjustments to your denture are included in the original fee. Whether it’s a complete rework or fine-tuning to ensure the best results, you can rest assured that it’s all part of the comprehensive care package you’ve invested in.

Your satisfaction and long-term oral health are our priorities, and we’re committed to providing the follow-up care you need to enjoy a fully functional and comfortable smile.
